📝 Comprehensive Land Use Plan: Public Comments and What Comes Next
A reminder that on Dec. 16, the City Planning Commission will review comments on draft 3 of the Comprehensive Land Use Plan and discuss any remaining edits. Please submit a comment saying you support the Comprehensive Plan and that the City should begin implementing it with zoning changes as soon as possible.
🚨🚨 🚨 If you submit by NOON TODAY, your comment will be included in the meeting packet for the 16th! Even a single sentence would help!
Relatedly, City Planning Commission has started to discuss how they can implement the Comprehensive Plan with zoning changes. This week two of our members, Professors Noah Kazis and Jonathan Levine, presented their suggestions for implementing the plan, including an example zoning district for the highest density Hub and Transition areas.
One of the main focuses of More Neighbors A2 in 2026 will be making sure that the City promptly gets to work making zoning changes. As Levine and Kazis point out, our current zoning policies are causing harm, and we shouldn't delay improving them.

🎦 The Communications Committee Seeks a Volunteer Video Editor
We're looking for a creative volunteer to help re-edit videos into short, engaging clips for Instagram and TikTok. If you have basic editing skills and a few hours to spare each week, we’d love your help! Interested? Please reach out to Eric Shalayko with a short intro and any samples of your work, or to ask questions.
🤝 Reminder: General Meeting this Sunday!
We are very pleased that we can continue our monthly meeting series. It’s been a blast getting to know neighbors and talking about ways to support the movement. This Sunday, our agenda includes a discussion with Jess Letaw about why it’s important for housing activism to be rooted in anti-racism and details about her work with Justice InDeed, Liberated Land Use, and other projects.
If you have been curious about how you might get more involved, don’t miss the new member orientation beginning at 1:00PM.
