🚨 Submit Your CLUP Comments by Dec. 10

The Comprehensive Land Use Plan, which lays out a vision for Ann Arbor’s development over the next several decades, is in the final round of public comment. Comments received by noon on December 11 will be reviewed by the City Planning Commission before their meeting on December 16.

Please send in a comment saying you support the Comprehensive Plan and that the City should begin implementing it with zoning changes as soon as possible. Even just one sentence will make a difference! The results will be aggregated, so it's important that we have a big show of support of the plan. As of November 13th, only 102 people had submitted a comment, so every comment is powerful!

🚶🚴🚗 Safer Streets for Neighbors: Attend the A2R2 Open House

We know that building more housing is only part of the solution; we also need to build a city where everyone can move around safely, affordably, and sustainably. The Ann Arbor Roadway Rightsizing (A2R2) project is the start of an opportunity to transform our dangerous arterial roads into safe, multimodal corridors that connect people to jobs, transit, and each other.

City staff need to hear that there is strong community demand for bold changes. Please attend the Open House on December 10 to review the corridor plans and voice your support for a design that prioritizes people over speed.

🍎 Reminder: Let’s Beat Our Record at "Lunches with Love"

📚 Reading the Future: A Book Club for Thriving Ann Arbor

We’re kicking off an Urbanism Book Club next year! Join other curious readers as we read and discuss various books about walkability, transit, housing justice, and other urbanism topics. We’ll discuss what makes for thriving cities, the history that got us to this moment, and what other cities are doing to build more vibrant and inclusive places. Through this lens, we can ask and discuss questions about Ann Arbor and the neighboring areas.
